Abous Us

Maritime Affection was launched in early 2022 by Leander. The intention behind this project is to create a place that deals with the most diverse dimensions of Maritime Affection. It could be compared to a magazine or blog, but we don’t want to categorize this project strictly and remain open and excited to see where the journey will take us.

As the name suggests, it’s about the affection for the waters of our planet and the relationship between them and humankind. It becomes clear that this covers quite broad aspects, considering that the focus here lies not on a tangible, clearly definable topic, but on a feeling, that we refer to as Maritime Affection.

Maritime Affection - A Feeling

Feelings, by their very nature, are highly individual and expressed in a myriad of ways. That’s exactly why Maritime Affection is meant to be a place where all these different forms of our common affection for the maritime world find a place.

Whether you are a powerboat enthusiast or an adventurous circumnavigator, an environmental activist or a fisherman, or just a lazy beach lover – everyone is welcome! Because one thing is for sure, at the core of all our different maritime interests remains the unchanged essence, namely the waters around us, and the inexpressible feeling that we all share is ultimately the very same.

Join Us

This project thrives on the individuals who all share our common affection and that is exactly why we are encouraging you to actively participate here. We reject a central, dictating editorship, but instead Maritime Affection is meant to follow a community-driven development.

If you would like to contribute to the creation of content, we encourage you to contact us and briefly tell us about your ideas.
